Emotion Monsters
I gave myself a design challenge to create character designs for an emotional intelligence game- inspired by Pokémon. Each emotion in my game concept has two representations- a large untamed version and a small tamed version. Were this an actual game I imagine children combating the untamed monsters with emotional regulation techniques to “tame” the emotion and let it become their pet. Emotions are not good or bad, it’s how we handle them that matters!
